The demanding design pre-requisites for SiteStream were
best fulfilled with the use of Microsoft's DNA standard artchitecture.
Logically the application is broken into three layers (or tiers), but
physically the software can be deployed in a number of ways depending on need.
Thin client modules add an extra physical layer - the web server itself.
The chosen architecture allows flexible deployment options, which increase the
scope for scaling and availability.
SiteStream's architecture was chosen carefully in order to support the business
objectives for the product. Industry standard methods and technologies have
been selected in order to capitalise on the experience of others and we are
confident that this gives us the maximum possible flexibility and future
proofing.
